Villalobos Best BL Starter in July

An outstanding 6-0 record in July earned Jorge Villalobos the Pitcher of the Month Award in the Boze League. When his name was penciled in to start on the Cincinnati lineup card, it meant trouble for opposing teams.
In 41.2 innings of work, Villalobos limited opposing batters to 38 base hits and a .245 batting average. He notched 32 strikeouts, issued 13 walks and had a 3.89 ERA.
In 21 starts this season Villalobos has crafted a 13-4 record with a 4.49 ERA.

Bullpen Ace Wins Best SL Pitcher

Ken Brown of the Eastsound Orcas is in the spotlight today. The relief ace was voted the top pitcher in the Scott League for July.
He compiled a 5-1 record and an ERA of 3.48 in 10.1 innings with 13 strikeouts. Brown nailed down 5 saves in 6 save opportunities.
This season Brown has picked up 24 saves and a 7-7 mark with a 4.98 ERA. He has made 43 relief appearances, thrown 43.1 innings, walked 27 and struck out 52.

Yong-kook Chang Winner in July

Yong-kook Chang made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the Boze League this past month.
The Lowell Spinners first baseman shined through the month of July and has won the Batter of the Month award.
The 20-year-old hit .375 with 14 home runs, 29 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
For the season Chang has produced 58 hits in 163 at-bats for a .356 average with 16 home runs and gotten on base at a .427 clip.
