No Hits for Blair, Streak Ends at 21 Thursday, July 29th , 2032 The hitting streak that Port Huron shortstop Jeff Blair had kept going for 21 games was ended today by the Clarksville Outlaws. Blair was stymied over 3 at-bats today, but the rest of his team picked him up, taking the 8-7 victory at The Castle of Kansas City. "Hitting streaks come and go," Blair said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." This year Blair is batting .294 with 4 home runs and 38 RBIs. |
