Samurai End Sutton's Streak
Saturday, May 1st , 2032
The Knox Central Panthers lost to the Saline Samurai 2-1 today at Timberjacks Ballpark, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Joel Sutton's 21-game hitting streak. The left fielder went 0-for-3 on the day.

"We felt if we could slow down Sutton, we would win the game," Samurai manager Paul Konerko explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down."

Sutton is batting .435 this season in 16 games with 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 62 at-bats.
