Niagara Falls second baseman Jim Willerton had a day to remember today, 5-for-6 against the Shelby Cardinals at LaBatt's Blue Park as the Falls picked up a 19-11 victory.

"He was patient up there today," Niagara Falls skipper Jeff Barry told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Willerton has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."

Jim Willerton singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

This year Willerton has collected a .348 batting average to date with 49 hits in 141 at-bats, 31 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 30 times. He has played in 38 games.
