Avalanche End Oostermeer's Streak Sunday, August 1st , 2032 Xander Oostermeer's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 21 games today as the Dutchess County Channel Cats dropped their contest with the Whistler Avalanche 6-4 at The MuckPit. Oostermeer failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-3. After the game Oostermeer spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. Oostermeer is hitting .318 so far this season with 57 RBIs and 67 runs scored. He has 120 hits including 14 home runs, 57 walks and .411 OBP. |
