Great Day for Roberts -- 5 Hits Sunday, May 30th , 2032 The Juarez Buzzards stopped the Brevard County Manatees by a score of 18-7 at Staples Center today, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Will Roberts. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Roberts said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Roberts did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Manatees. "Not much that I can say," offered Brevard County manager Darrell Kaiser. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Will Roberts singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Rafael López in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th.
