Tigers End Chikafuji's Streak Saturday, May 22nd , 2032 The 26-game hitting streak is over. Johnstown Jets right fielder Tomokazu Chikafuji failed to get a hit today against the Dutton Tigers and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 18-year-old went 0-for-3 in his club's 10-5 victory over the Tigers at The Castle of Kansas City. "I think I only made it to 26 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak." So far this season Chikafuji has hit .439 with 7 home runs, 41 RBIs and scored 47 times. |
