Montoya Goes 5-for-5 Tuesday, May 4th , 2032 It was a high-five day for Jesús Montoya, at least for a while. The Kemmisville center fielder got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Norwalk Narwhals, but they were in short supply at the end, as Norwalk took a 7-4 win. Montoya finished with an impressive 5-for-5 line, but the Wieners couldn't hold off the Narwhals. "Jesús was hitting everything," said Wieners manager Dylan Scott. "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion." Jesús Montoya singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In the current season, Montoya has put up a .261 batting average with 24 hits, 3 home runs, 14 runs batted in and scored 16 runs. View Boxscore |
