ZAP Names Qualtrough Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Sunday, October 26th , 2031 This past season was very special for Anthony Qualtrough of the Moss Beach Mosquitos. He picked up 12 wins against only 5 losses and was chosen the winner of the 2031 Zaphod Conference Outstanding Pitcher Award. The 19-year-old Mosquitos ace fashioned a fine 3.48 ERA in 28 starts. He threw 163 innings, gave up 144 hits, 51 walks and held opponents to a .235 average. Qualtrough fanned 96 batters this season. He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 32. Phillip Pollock of the Moss Beach Mosquitos finished second in voting with 14 first place votes, while Ricardo Valenzuela of the Churchill Rebels finished third.
