Bob Powers Out for Season

The season is ending on a bad note for Bob Powers, starting pitcher for the James Madison Warhawks. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Powers was hurt against the Saline Samurai while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn meniscus and will be out for at least 4 months.

So far this year Powers has made 17 starts, tossed 82.1 innings, struck out 69 batters and walked 26. His record is 1-8 with a 3.39 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .236 batting average.
