Patriots Borges Gone for Year Friday, July 30th , 2032 José Borges of the Patriots just might have to call it quits for the season. The 17-year-old Yorktown reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the West Monroe Monarchs recently at Joe Nathan Field. Borges suffered bone chips in his elbow while throwing a pitch. The Patriots medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4-5 months. To date this year Borges has won 2 and lost 0 with a 6.46 ERA, 1 save and 16 strikeouts in 18 relief appearances. |
