Goats Graves Raps 3 Homers Thursday, June 17th , 2032 Fans are still buzzing after Gulfport whipped the St. Xavier Tigers by the score of 14-7 today at Detroit HS Fields. Lee Graves smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the right fielder bashed out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 6 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Graves said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Graves said. "Three is just... wow." Lee Graves flied out in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Tunay Arif in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Lewis Kuhn in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Dave Orndorff in the 9th. Posting a .339 batting average to date, Graves has 18 home runs and 63 RBIs. |
