Vikings Joe Hopps Will Miss Season Monday, June 14th , 2032 The doctors have spoken and Joe Hopps of the Valley Central Vikings didn't like what he heard. The 16-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Hopps sustained his season-ending injury during the Riverdale Baptist Crusaders game yesterday at Drifters Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Valley Central medical staff reported Hopps had radial nerve compression and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8-9 months. For the season Hopps is 0-and-0 with no saves and a 2.59 ERA. He has given up 22 hits in 24.1 innings with 19 strikeouts. |
