Tamayo Blisters Archbishop McCarthy Monday, September 1st , 2031 The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Víctor Tamayo. The left fielder for the Northern Patriots hit the milestone today against the Archbishop McCarthy Aggies, helping his club to a narrow 10-9 victory. Tamayo finished with a 5-for-5 line at the plate. "Tamayo was a tough out today," Archbishop McCarthy manager Joey Walker told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one." Víctor Tamayo singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. For the season, Tamayo is hitting at a .317 clip with 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and has scored 25 runs. He has 60 hits, 16 walks and a .374 on-base percentage. View Boxscore |
