Hits Blitz for Rams Gonzáles Friday, July 25th , 2031 It was a quite a day for Vicente Gonzáles at Varsity Field. He hit for the cycle, belting out every kind of hit there is -- a single, double, triple and home run. The Bangor right fielder accomplished the rare feat during his team's 4-2 victory over the Stratford Northwestern Huskies. "I never even thought about hitting for the cycle and what do you know, I did it," he told BNN reporters at the postgame press conference. "The cycle really doesn't matter to me, it's the win that's important." Gonzáles went 4-for-4 in the game with 3 runs batted in and 1 run scored. Vicente Gonzáles doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Alberto Solís in the 5th and tripled in the 8th.
