Longhorns Bryan Gets No-Hitter
Saturday, August 21st , 2032
It was a fantastic day for Texas Longhorns starter Calvin Bryan and a lousy day for the Nebraska Corn Huskers.
The Texas hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Corn Huskers, as the Longhorns cruised to a 5-0 win. When it was all over, Bryan was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter.
"The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Bryan said later.
He rang up 9 strikeouts and allowed 4 walks while shutting Nebraska down at UFCU Disch - Falk Field.
This season Bryan has made 26 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 4-2 won-lost mark and a 3.46 ERA. In pitching 54.2 innings, he has totaled 42 strikeouts and 25 walks.
