Thompson Parks 3 for Nebraska Sunday, August 15th , 2032 It was a special day for Kelsey Thompson, but less so for the Nebraska Corn Huskers. Thompson slammed three home runs against the Cal State Fullerton Titans, but the Titans outhit him and got the win by a score of 13-11. "Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game -- I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Nebraska right fielder finished the day at Haymarket Park with 4 hits in 6 at-bats, 5 RBI and 3 runs scored. Kelsey Thompson hit a two-run home run off Juan DomÃnguez in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Shuichi Miura in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Castillo in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
