Nittany Lions End Díaz's Streak Sunday, August 15th , 2032 José Díaz of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 1 at-bat for the first time in 21 games. Making matters even worse for the left fielder, Wake Forest dropped the game to the Penn State Nittany Lions 6-1. "It was not a good day today," Díaz told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over." For the season Díaz is hitting .344, batted in 84 runs with 17 home runs and 83 runs scored. |
