Roach Packs a Wallop -- Hits 3 HR Against Aggies Monday, August 25th , 2031 Jeremy Roach went on an explosive hitting spree against the Texas A&M Aggies at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the UNLV Rebels to the 13-5 win. The second baseman finished 3-for-3 with 3 runs scored and 8 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Roach said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Texas A&M skipper Justin Knoedler said Roach was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Jeremy Roach hit a two-run home run off Gerardo Feliciano in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Gerardo Feliciano in the 4th and hit a two-run home run off Ed Rombouts in the 5th. This year Roach is hitting at a .242 pace with 5 home runs and 36 RBIs. He has played in 117 games and scored 27 times. |
