Super Swinger -- Hinojosa Slams 5 Hits Saturday, July 10th , 2032 It was a good day for the Sharkeez at Mama Mia Pizzeria Stadium as they clipped the Des Moines Tractor Cats, 11-3. It was tremendous day for Jorge Hinojosa, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-5. "I don't know what to call that," the Isla Vista right fielder told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Jorge Hinojosa singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This year Hinojosa has socked 70 hits in 221 at-bats for a .317 average with 12 home runs. He is getting on base at a .394 pace and his totals also include 39 RBIs and 39 runs scored. View Boxscore |
