van Zon Takes ML's Best Bat Award Thursday, July 1st , 2032 At only 20 years of age, Thie van Zon could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Lake Diefenbaker Chiefs, as June was one to remember for the first baseman and he has captured the Meares League Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .436 with 9 home runs, 28 RBIs and 21 runs scored. So far this year, van Zon is batting .350 with 15 home runs and 61 RBIs. |
