On a Roll: Shimizu Hits for Cycle Wednesday, May 19th , 2032 Golden Bears left fielder Hiroya Shimizu made big news today in Reno's 12-0 victory over the Napa Fleas. He was 4-for-5 at the plate and hit for the cycle, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. "My numbers were gaudy but lots of guys deserve a share of the credit today," Shimizu said later. Hiroya Shimizu struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Gus Corcorane in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.
