González Rocks Rough Riders for 3 HRs Saturday, September 6th , 2031 It was a good day for the Sons Of Shelton and an exceptional one for Iván González. The 24-year-old catcher sent three bombs out of the park to help the Shelton beat the Ottawa Rough Riders 7-1 at DoubleHump Field. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," González said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 4 runs and smacked 4 hits in 4 at-bats. Iván González hit a two-run home run off Craig Byrd in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Craig Byrd in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Gray de Beun in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. |
