Shaw's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Thursday, August 5th , 2032 The number just keeps getting higher. Deadwood catcher Mark Shaw has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the Deadwood took the 5-4 win over the Augusta Minutemen at Biscuits Park. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Augusta manager Norm Jordan said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Mark Shaw singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This season Shaw has banged out 87 hits in 302 at-bats for a .288 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .356 pace and his totals also include 33 RBIs and 37 runs scored. |
