5-for-5 Day for Perpoli Monday, July 12th , 2032 Fans at DoubleHump Field got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The Saskatchewan Roughriders outplayed the Juneau Mountaineers en route to a 12-3 win, but the standout was center fielder Gabriel Perpoli. Perpoli netted 5 hits in 5 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Mountaineers manager Don Stephens said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Gabriel Perpoli doubled in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Carlos Osorio in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jerry Herrington in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
