Year Over for Threshers García Friday, July 2nd , 2032 The North Newton Threshers and their fans were rocked today by the news that star reliever Orlando García would miss the rest of the season due to injury. García was hurt in a recent game against the Lloydminster Lunkers while throwing a pitch. He was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was a torn rotator cuff. His doctors think that García will miss about 4 months. So far this season García is 2-and-0 with no saves and a 3.96 ERA. He has given up 31 hits in 25 innings with 35 strikeouts. |
