31-Game Streak Ends, Kerry Hitless
Wednesday, May 26th , 2032
It was the best of both worlds for the Newtown Juicers today at South End Stadium, as they defeated the Cheyenne Regulators 9-1 and also snapped Lou Kerry's 31-game hitting streak. The 30-year-old Cheyenne right fielder failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Kerry, we just wanted to win the game," said Juicers skipper Randall Simon. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Kerry frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

For the year Kerry has hit .318 with 4 home runs, 20 RBIs and scored 18 runs.
