Newtown's Earle Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Thursday, May 20th , 2032 Newtown first baseman Roark Earle had a day to remember today, 5-for-5 against the Seattle Pilots at The Sausage Grinder as the Juicers picked up a 13-5 victory. "He was patient up there today," Newtown skipper Randall Simon told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Earle has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Roark Earle hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Emanuel Allaart in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, walked in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. This year Earle is hitting .417, produced 13 RBIs and 3 home runs, scored 12 times and gotten on base at a .462 rate. View Boxscore |
