Recovery Slow for Buzzards Júlio Rentería Sunday, May 23rd , 2032 All is not well with Júlio Rentería in his recovery from a herniated disc. The 27-year-old Buzzards starting pitcher has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Rentería and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday. "Yesterday he was feeling good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it." A post-workout examination revealed that Rentería had re-injured himself and would now miss at least one week because of it. This year Rentería has compiled a 3-1 record with a 3.27 ERA. |
