The Austin BigStars picked up a win at Googleplex, knocking off the Napoleon Dynamites, 4-3. On the mound for Austin was left-hander Donovan Straughan, who played a pivotal role in the win. Straughan, now 9-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Mike Cox collected his 7th save.

In the bottom of the second, Austin catcher Shusaku Takabayashi had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Takabayashi stroked a 2-run single to right-center. It made the score 2-0, Austin. For the game, he was 2-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Winning never gets dull," said Takabayashi.
