Cosmos Rally to Eke Out Win
The Shelbyville Reds got a superb performance from pitcher Trey Schurman, but the Stratford Cosmos still won the game, 4-3. Schurman threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. Stratford now has a record of 40-21 with the win.

The outcome might have been different for Stratford, had it not been for Bob Hopper, the 30-year old catcher . Hopper stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Stratford up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Shelbyville skipper Ken Benton, "and it cost us."
