Camels Turn Back Napoleon, 4-2

The Cooperstown Camels took Napoleon pitcher José Ortíz's best shot and still were able to claim a win at DoubleHump Field. The final score had Cooperstown getting past the Dynamites, 4-2. Ortíz went 7.2 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 8. The winner in relief was Ichiro Matsumoto. He is now 3-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. The 7th-place Dynamites have lost 4 consecutive games.
Virgil Sellick, who finished 4th in the NL in RBI with 123 last year, helped out the Cooperstown cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the left fielder was 2-3 with a double and a walk.
"I'm proud to wear a Cooperstown jersey," Sellick told the Cooperstown Herald. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
