3-1 Loss to Lynx Extends Kansas City Losing Streak
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Vancouver Lynx and the Kansas City Scouts. Vancouver won it, 3-1. Vancouver starter Roberto Montaño was in command. The win was credited to Kieran Bishop in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Bob Miller took the loss. Getting the save was Héctor Ortega, his 11th.

Vancouver took a 3-1 lead on Julien Sharp's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Kansas City pitcher Bob Miller in the bottom of the seventh.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Sharp.

The Lynx now have a record of 17-38.
