Austin got a terrific game from designated hitter Dong-hoon Hwang. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Oklahoma City, 8-5. Hwang went 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Alfredo Vallés was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, with 5 walks and 4 strikeouts. Miguel González picked up the save for Oklahoma City, his 1st of the year.

Druw Jones, who is tied for 8th in the AL in bases on balls with 27, helped out the Oklahoma City cause in the top of the fifth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 3 with 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Jones.
