Reds Edge Past Dynamites, 4-3

With third baseman George Madec leading the charge, the Shelbyville Reds defeated the Napoleon Dynamites, 4-3, at Pete Rose Field. Madec, the 30th overall pick in the 2026 draft, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Shelbyville pitcher Rafael García got the win. He's now 5-9. Xavier Gómez was tagged with the loss. The Reds raised their record to 42-102.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Madec hit a fastball from Daniel Martínez for a run-scoring double. The Reds, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
Madec told a Shelbyville Times reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
