The Kittanning Union beat the Cleveland Spiders, 11-6, at The Citizen. Kittanning catcher Adley Rutschman had an outstanding performance. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Manuel Vázquez got the win, improving to 12-6. He worked 6 innings, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. The first-place Union are now 78-64, the Spiders 71-71.

Kittanning took a 7-4 lead on Rutschman's 11th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Felipe Gutiérrez in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Kittanning to the win.

"Enjoyed this one," Rutschman told the Kittanning Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
