Death Valley pitcher Chris McAskill did his part in helping his team beat the Puerto Rico Tropics, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Their 64-77 record puts the Buzzards 5th in the Anderson League Helton Division.

Death Valley relied on the hitting of Xander Bogaerts to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Buzzards on top, 5-1. For the game, Bogaerts had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Bogaerts.
