Despite a great performance by McCleary catcher Ron Adams, the Hartford Whalers defeated the Sasquatch by the score of 7-6 at Eversource Delivery Charge Field. Adams was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Ernesto Martínez came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-2. Xavier Ford sewed up the save, his 4th.

Hartford took a 7-4 lead on Trea Turner's 25th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Turner hit in the bottom of the eighth, left McCleary pitcher Artie McCray visibly frustrated.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Turner.

Hartford is now 62-79, McCleary 77-64.
