Corpus Christi shortstop António Álvarez made his presence felt in the 7-5 Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits triumph over the Death Valley Buzzards. Álvarez was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Corpus Christi reliever Víctor De Los Ángeles picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Pedro Costa shouldered the loss. The win makes Corpus Christi 57-78.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Marcos Rivera was at the plate when Corpus Christi scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits to go in front, 5-4.
