Copperheads Need Extra Innings to Top BigStars, 7-4
Austin designated hitter Dong-hoon Hwang had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-4, to Cumberland at John Lee Pettimore Field. Hwang went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Cumberland reliever Roger Taylor picked up the win, upping his record to 5-4. Miguel Moreno took the loss. The triumph puts Cumberland at 72-61 for the season.

Cumberland won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With two outs and Miguel Moreno on the mound for Austin, left fielder Donald Leadbetter hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Copperheads fans to their feet.

"I'm glad this one's going in the books as a 'W'," Leadbetter said.
