The Austin BigStars downed the D.C. Teddys, 7-5, at Rough Rider Stadium. Wally Adames led the way, going 3-for-4 for Austin. The BigStars lead the Nied League Mendoza Division by 3½ games.

Anastasio Medina, who is tied for 5th in the NL with a .333 batting average, helped out the Austin cause in the top of the fourth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the third baseman went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Adames.
