The Border City Buck$ relied on the hitting of left fielder Aleksander Kraja to stop the Death Valley Buzzards, 6-5. For the game, Kraja hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Border City reliever Gilberto Álvarez got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Miguel Muñóz was tagged with the loss. The Buck$ saw their record improve to 21-22.

Will Smith went 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Border City. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Doyle Lee. It was his 5th RBI of the season.
