Lynx Lose to Red Birds in Walk Off
|
The Toronto Red Birds got a stellar effort from pitcher Tsuneyo Ito, helping Toronto score a win over the visiting Vancouver Lynx, 3-2. Mariano Colón got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The victory gives Toronto a record of 23-19.
Angelo Paschini was the walk-off hero for Toronto. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Red Birds second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Paschini.
