Despite a great performance by Daniel right fielder Jack Giraud, the Stratford Cosmos defeated the Brand A's by the score of 4-3 at VBL's Best Ballpark. Giraud hit 2 home runs. The save was credited to Héctor Montoya, his 3rd. Stratford currently is in second place in the Nied League Mendoza Division at 27-15.
Jaime Castillo, the 30-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Castillo contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Stratford up, 4-3.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Castillo told the Stratford Daily.
