The Austin BigStars faced a tough opponent in Brooklyn pitcher Soshu Hashimoto, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Googleplex by a final score of 3-2. Hashimoto went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Rick Snow, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 2 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 7-0. Masaki Ogawa closed it out for his 1st save.
Shusaku Takabayashi had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for Austin. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Austin in front, 3-1.
"It was a good effort all around," said Takabayashi.
The BigStars have an impressive 29-12 record.
