Saldaña Hits 2 home runs in Tropics Win
The Puerto Rico Tropics knocked off the Kansas City Scouts, 10-3, at The Castle of Kansas City. José Carlos Saldaña was a big reason Puerto Rico won. The designated hitter went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The save went to Francisco Macías, his 1st this season. The win gives Puerto Rico a season record of 20-18.

In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Saldaña hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Saldaña told the Puerto Rico Herald.
