Union Edge Tropics, 1-0
|
The Puerto Rico Tropics got a superb performance from pitcher Carlos Marín, but the Kittanning Union still won the game, 1-0. Marín threw 6.0 innings of 1-hit ball. The triumph puts Kittanning at 23-13 for the season.
Michael Huth drove in one run for Kittanning. The 23-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Carlos Marín. It was his 13th RBI of the season.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Puerto Rico manager José Delgado. "The effort was great."
