The Stratford Cosmos got a superb performance from pitcher Juan Velázquez, but the Kansas City Scouts still won the game, 4-3. Velázquez threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Aidan Lindop earned the win to go to 3-0. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. Júlio Díaz earned the save, his 1st, for the Scouts.
Kansas City used the timely hitting of Noel England to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Scouts ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," England said after the game.
Kansas City, at 22-13, holds down second place in the Anderson League Sabathia Division.
