The Austin BigStars got a strong performance from pitcher Juan Guerrero, who stymied the South Side offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Googleplex. Masaki Ogawa notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Austin is now 26-9, 2½ games up in the Nied League Mendoza Division.

Anastasio Medina was the walk-off hero for Austin. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the BigStars third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"We squandered some opportunities," said South Side manager Tony Saunders.
