The Kittanning Union bested the Kansas City Scouts by a score of 6-5, with shortstop William Haines getting the main credit. The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Kittanning trailing 5-4, Rafael Díaz jumped on a full count fastball from Bob Miller for a 2-run home run, sending the Union to a walk-off win.

"I felt good up there," said Díaz. "I saw the ball well."
